In 2025, we were proud to continue our long tradition of community involvement and giving back to our Annandale, Clearwater, and Maple Lake communities. From volunteer hours and scholarships to food drives and parades, we are proud to serve our neighbors all year long.
Since 1893, Lake Central Bank has been more than your trusted local financial institution. Our team members are your neighbors, too, and take pride in volunteering in the communities of Annandale, Benson, Clearwater, and Maple Lake throughout the year. We’re big enough to serve you and your financial needs and small enough to know you when we bump into you at the grocery store.
We’re exceptionally proud of all the ways we serve our neighbors throughout the year. Here’s a quick look at what we were up to in 2025. We’re looking forward to everything we have in store for 2026!
1. January
Lake Central Bank celebrated exceeding our team challenge of serving 2,024 volunteer hours in 2024. We surpassed 2,204 hours in late November 2024 and continued to serve through December! We are proud to work and live in our communities.
2. February
We celebrated Jean Schermer’s retirement from our Clearwater location with an open house, cake, and coffee. Thank you for your years of service, Jean!
3. March
Lake Central Bank announced $1,000,000 in donations to support community development in Central Minnesota, made possible with and support of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines member impact fund. Funds were distributed among ten local organizations in Annandale, Benson, Clearwater, and Maple Lake. Additionally, nonprofit organizations such as Youth First, Annandale Art and Textile, True Friends, Annandale Care Center, and Benson Initiative Foundation all benefited from this joint effort.
4. April
We hosted the shred truck at the Annandale Expo and greeted visitors at our expo booth.
5. May
May was a celebration of learning, starting with Teacher Appreciation Day snacks at the elementary, middle, and high schools. Then, Lake Central Bank awarded four scholarships to Annandale High School students and hosted fourth graders from Annandale Elementary for a tour of our Annandale location. We also entered our best bowl of chili in the Annandale Chamber’s annual chili cookoff.
6. June
We spread the word about our upcoming Give Small & Do BIG! food drive and encouraged our neighbors to participate.
7. July
Lake Central Bank launched our summer Give Small & Do BIG! food drive on July 1 to serve families in our communities. We sponsored Annandale Ambassador candidate Aubrey and celebrated the Fourth of July by giving away free ice cream and joining the Annandale Fourth of July parade.
8. August
We took our Give Small & Do BIG! food drive on the road to Clearwater for the Heritage Festival parade.
9. September
Lake Central Bank wrapped up its summer-long Give Small & Do BIG! food drive, collecting hundreds of pounds of food for families in our community. Thank you to everyone who contributed food or cash donations.
10. October
We wore pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month to show people touched by this disease that they are not alone and greeted trick-or-treaters at Annandale’s Business Trick-or-Treat event.
11. November
Lake Central Insurance Services was recognized by Auto-Owners Insurance for 75 years of outstanding service and dedication protecting our neighbors and their loved ones. We also wore purple for World Pancreatic Cancer Day to raise awareness and show support for those impacted by this disease.
12. December
Lake Central collected mail for Santa. We also celebrated Tara Partridge’s retirement after 18 years of service in our Annandale community. We wish Tara joy, rest, and new adventures; she has earned every bit of it.
